Computer Skills

The earliest memory I have of using a computer was when I was in kindergarten and my neighbor had an Apple II. I don't remember much about it, other than thinking the games looked really bad compared to my beloved Nintendo Entertainment System.

Fast-forward a few years to third grade and that's when I really started using computers. At that time we used the Macintosh, common among schools with computer labs. At this time, most of the work on the computer consisted of typing things and playing Oregon Trail.

Since that time I've always had an interest in computers. My family purchased their first computer when I was a freshman in high school in 1997, and we got the Internet shortly thereafter. Saying "not a day has gone by that I haven't touched a computer since we first got one" is a bit of a stretch, but it's not far from the truth.

I have learned numerous valuable skills both on my own and thanks to my education from Iowa State University. Following is a list of programs and languages I am familiar with.
